  @undercover: I agree; I've noticed how all the new literature with all the nude light is more "simplified". In this dumbed down state how can one find any understanding of truth? After all we aren't suppose to look anywhere else.

  I wonder what new watchtowers will look like in the future when they've gotten rid of all the old literature, I mean, light.

  I think there are a few, and I mean few, who truly believe, however I dare you to name one. JWs love to talk about how "good" they are and how "bad" everyone else is. Hypocrites! I've never met more bold-faced liars in my life; they may have believed at one point, but actions speak louder than words.

  I think most of the JW populous is there either because they love their positions, are drunk with power, can't leave or haven't figured how to leave.

  beards being forbidden is something we just all accepted.

  Yes! Fear mongering is the perfect description. The GB and on down the line will say anything to keep rank and filers in line/fear, the best part is JWs gobble it up; as 50cent said it, "like a fat kid love cake."

  Why?

  Besides the previous points on this thread, they've been told that anything from wash-towel, the goobering body-snatcher, district and circuit oversneers, elderberries and menstrual servants is directly from Jehovah himself. It doesn't matter that, to make this true, they're cutting out the middle man, er mediator, JESUS; but wait isn't the goobering body-snatcher the mediator, well I guess that's more evidence on their pile of rubbish they'll ignore.

  Sadly, until any JW wants to “see the light” they will choose to stay in darkness. Brainwashing and mind control is a lot like addiction; you can show an addict all the science, proof and love but they won’t get clean until they want to, and unfortunately some never do.

  Either way, if the JW bible originates from the Catholic canon and they've never tried nor wanted to look beyond that chosen compilation, doesn't this make them a sect off of the Catholic Church?

  Seems ironic since they LOVE to bash Catholicism sooooo much.

  on examining the scriptural reasoning cited in the passage below, should our conscience allow us to invite people to be "observers" at a ritual which presents falsehoods as truth?.

  the evening before jesus died, he instigated a new covenant which was to be celebrated with wine and unleavened bread.

  (matthew 12:50) these scriptures reflect each other, for since christ is the son of god (mark 3:11, john 1:34) and we are sons of god as well, this would make us brothers to christ.

  @Larsinger58: So true! By their actions the WTBT$ and GB have proven there own prophecy of 1914 false and doctrine of only a select few who partake a sham. If Christ has returned, as they say he did in 1914,no one should partake and there should be no memorial, if he hasn’t then there should be a memorial and ALL should partake; quite a conundrum isn’t it?

  Ridiculous reasons that "this MUST be the truth"!!!

  ever since i began researching about mind control, the organization, etc....i've really been paying attention to the actions and comments of the members of the congregation.

  i've been noticing how so many people(usually the sisters) make up such ludicrous statements of how "this must be the truth"!.

  for instance, the other day a brother at our hall who is only his early 40's was admitted to the hospital because of a bad infection.
